TRANSFER POINTS’, are the locations where Bulk Material changes it path from one equipment to another, in the System.
In event of any upstream / downstream modifications in Plant Capacity or any change in operating conditions, there are high possibility of major or sudden plant down time, resulting in precious production losses, common problems associated to such transfer points are :
- Jamming of Chutes, due to material built up or increased flow
- Wearing of Chutes due to undistributed flow
- Conveyor spillage due to one sided loading of material
- Material built up in collecting hopper, where two / more material are mixed
